I thought my hospital was doing quite well. The last couple of times I have felt I needed to see the RA Nurse(s) I have been seen within a couple of days. Both have said that my drugs should be looked at by the Specialist. But in the last t0wo months, my appointment with her, originally as 19th May, has been put back twice - to 14th July (I re-arranged my short holiday to get to this, and now to 9th November!

While I am pleased that new patients are being seen sooner rather than later, it seems that the Specialist are heading towards only seeing the established patients once a year! Arrrggghhhh!

With the election imminnent, will anything change? I rather think not

Moan over - off to phone the Specialist's secretary, again!

November!!! That's unbelievable! Surely they've made a mistake? I'd definitely be on the phone to them again because that is totally unacceptable!

Let us know if you have any luck.

I agree with Joanna - that just isn't acceptable. Kick up a BIG fuss.

How strange-I was due to see the specialist in May and it was put back to the beginning of November and now I've got a second letter telling me it's been put back to the END of November!
YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Same happened to me Mandy but I had a flare and physio got someone to see me. Definitely don't put up with this if you are struggling. Good luck.

It's ridiculous and it just gets worse.
It's alright pushing things like DAS scores and telling us we should know what ours is, but so many of us are not even getting appointments, never mind a DAS score!
I would just be happy to be seen!
